Scope and Contents
This collection documents the brief existence of Beloit College's Cannabis Club (also named, at certain times, Educational Cannabis Organization (ECO), and to a lesser extent, Educational Cooperative Hemp Organization (ECHO)), active in the early 1990s. Included are correspondence, financial information, flyers, "The Clarion" newsletter, and other educational materials publicized by the club. Cannabis Club engaged in political activities, writing to members of the United States government about various pieces of legislation. The group also collected a number of non-Beloit College publications from organizations like National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).
