Beloit College Missionary collection
This collection gathers documents about missionaries from Beloit College, including lectures, articles, and other writings. There are some records from the Beloit College Missionary Society, and statistics from the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM). Of particular note are documents regarding the missions of Thomas D. Christie (class of 1867) to Turkey, Caleb Frank Gates (class of 1877), and Paul E. Nilson (class of 1911).
Jerome D. Davis collection
Jerome D. Davis graduated from Beloit College in 1866, and became a missionary for the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in Japan, where he lived for almost 40 years. This collection contains Alumni Office files, correspondence by and about Jerome Davis, biographical information, publications in English and Japanese, and a few photographs.
Paul Nilson papers
Paul Nilson, class of 1911, went on to graduate from the Hartford Theological Seminary and Chicago University, after which he became a missionary in Turkey and president of St. Paul's Collegiate Institute. This collection contains mostly correspondence with and about Paul Nilson, as well as some biographical data and news clippings from the Beloit College Alumni Office.
