Abstract Alonzo William Pond graduated from Beloit College in 1918 and served as the assistant curator at the Logan Museum of Anthropology from 1925-1931. He was leader of the Logan Sahara Expedition in 1925-26 and two African expeditions, one in 1926-27 and another in 1929-30. Abstract Beloit College's Logan Museum of Anthropology was founded in 1893 after Frank G. Logan purchased a collection of around 3,000 Native American archaeological and ethnographic objects that was exhibited at the Chicago World's Columbian Exposition by Horatio Nelson Rust.
