Abstract Alonzo William Pond graduated from Beloit College in 1918 and served as the assistant curator at the Logan Museum of Anthropology from 1925-1931. He was leader of the Logan Sahara Expedition in 1925-26 and two African expeditions, one in 1926-27 and another in 1929-30. Abstract W. Bradley Tyrrell was a Beloit College graduate, class of 1906, as well as the vice president of the college under Irving Maurer. Upon President Maurer's death in 1942, Tyrrell assumed the role of interim president of the college. This collection contains documents relating to Tyrrell's personal and extracurricular professional life, including photographs, programs for speeches he gave, and a diary and scrapbook documenting his African expedition to the Sahara Desert in Algeria in 1925.
