Overview Edward Dwight Eaton was the second president of Beloit College, serving two separate terms, 1886-1905 and 1907-1917. Ellsworth Huntington collection

Overview Ellsworth Huntington, a graduate of the class of 1897, published a significant amount about race, human population, and anthropology. He worked at Euphrates College in Turkey and taught Geology at Yale University. This collection primarily holds original copies of Huntington's publications, both pamphlets and books. There are photocopies of a number of articles about Huntington as well, with two photographs.

Overview From the time he was called to the chair of chemistry and mineralogy at Beloit College in 1881, Professor Erastus Gilbert Smith became an important figure in the Beloit community. Overview The Bristol Collection contains 421 objects, mostly textiles, and an associated archive from Frances Bristols’ travels to the state of Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, and Guatemala from 1949-2003. The archive consists of 7,706 color slides, 290 photographs, 78 negatives, and 32 notebook binders (compiled in scrapbook format) of field notes, hand drawn maps, and illustrations of indigenous clothing styles.
