Biographical / Historical
The Beloit College Womyn's Center, also referred as "the Sisterhood," is a support group for Beloit College women and an outreach group for women of the Beloit community. Feminist organizing began in 1969 with the Women's Liberation Movement. In the early 1970s, there were women's information services, which lead to guest speakers, courses in women's studies, and their own house on campus.
