Scope and Contents
This series consists of material relating to the Central European Teaching Program (CETP) at Beloit College. There are brochures about the program, as well as descriptions of the director's position in the organization. Also within this series, there are two binders that were transferred to folders. The first is CETP Archives from Amy Berigtold, containing information about the program's alumni, accounting, advertisement, correspondences, forums and, on a floppy disk handbooks; the other binder is a Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Handbook, including orientation information, goals, management, lesson plans and, on two music CDRs ESL songs.

The Central European Teaching Program (CETP) was founded by a Beloit alumna [Lesley Davis'90] in 1992, and is based at in [sic] World Affairs Center at Beloit College. Its underlying purpose is to provide the graduates of Beloit College and other colleges and universities nation-wide with a one-year placement to teach English in educational settings abroad, primarily in the public schools of East Central Europe.
Such placements included Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania. The program's affiliation with Beloit College ended on May 30, 2003.
