Abstract Alonzo William Pond graduated from Beloit College in 1918 and served as the assistant curator at the Logan Museum of Anthropology from 1925-1931. He was leader of the Logan Sahara Expedition in 1925-26 and two African expeditions, one in 1926-27 and another in 1929-30. Abstract Anne Bassett Kelley, also known as Nan, Beloit College class of 1907, became a missionary teacher in China. The Archives holds an extensive collection of Kelley's correspondence from China during 1919-1923 as well as letters from her adopted daughter in China to Kelley and other family members, dating from the 1940s-1990s, altogether amounting to hundreds of letters. Abstract

This collection contains a small amount of press materials and correspondence about the Argonne Semester program, often between Beloit College and the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM), though which Beloit participated in the program, or Argonne National Laboratory itself. The bulk of the collection is dedicated to final reports by Beloit College students who took part in the program from 1962-1964.
